Hereford Cattle

Hereford

The Hereford is easily identifiable due to it’s distinctive white face and red coat. Even a cross-bred Hereford will still maintain its white face, allowing for easier traceability of the breed. A reason for their popularity amongst farmers is their good temperament, which allows them to be easily handled and managed. They are also very well suited to forage based diets such as grass. Hereford cattle that are finished on grass produce very well marbled beef, which has a distinctive flavour and excellent eating quality.
