MACDUFF Beef Pan Fried Steak

Ingredients (serves 2)

2 lean beef sirloin or rump steaks

5ml (1tsp) oil from jar of sundried tomatoes

6 sundried tomatoes, chopped

3 cloves garlic, chopped

8 black or green olives, pitted and chopped

30ml (2tbsp) half fat crème fraîche

1 ciabatta bread, sliced


  1. Heat the oil in the frying pan and cook steak as per Cooking Chart on Page 4.
  2. Remove from pan and keep warm.
  3. Add remaining ingredients except the crème fraîche and cook for 1-2 minutes.
  4. Stir through the crème fraîche.

Serve the pan fried steak with slices of ciabatta or sour dough bread, a large mixed salad and a spoonful of the Italian mixture.
